RAM 1500 Limited 2021 Review

The RAM 1500 Limited 2021 has arrived in Australia, and it’s turning heads with its impressive size and luxurious features. As the flagship model of the fifth-generation RAM Range, this full-size pickup competes with the likes of the Chevrolet Silverado. Its dimensions are truly staggering – almost 6 meters long, over 2 meters wide, and nearly 2 meters high, weighing in at a hefty 2700 kilos. These impressive dimensions leave the top-selling Toyota Hilux in the dust.

The RAM 1500 Limited is packed with standout features, such as its side steps, lockable storage boxes, and massive 22-inch alloy wheels. Under the hood, you’ll find a 5.7-litre pushrod V8 engine with 48-volt mild hybrid boosting and cylinder deactivation technology to save fuel. The engine pairs with an 8-speed automatic transmission and a BorgWarner torque on-demand transfer case, offering rear-wheel drive, all-wheel drive, and low range for 4×4 off-roading.

The Limited’s luxurious interior boasts leather upholstery, powered, heated, and ventilated front seats, and a seamless dashboard conversion from left to right-hand drive. The centerpiece of the cabin is a massive 12-inch infotainment screen, offering access to Sat-Nav, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, a 19-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, and dual-zone climate control. The vehicle also comes equipped with a comprehensive safety suite, including autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, and various cameras and sensors.

With an abundance of storage options and a spacious cabin, the RAM 1500 Limited provides an unmatched level of comfort. The tray can easily accommodate an Australian payload, but its 701-kilogram capacity falls short compared to smaller diesel dual-cab utes. However, the RAM redeems itself with an outstanding towing capacity of up to 4500 kilograms.

Despite its thirst for petrol and a 3-year, 100,000-kilometer warranty, Australians have embraced the RAM 1500 Limited, proving that it is not too much truck for our roads. In fact, it’s just the right amount of luxury and power for those who demand the best.
